Cambodia 2040 Book Series
In partnership with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, Future Forum has worked with Cambodian authors to produce edited volumes examining 28 different areas of socio-economic development and the various potential scenarios that Cambodia is likely to confront two decades from now.
About Cambodia 2040
In the years since Cambodia signed the Paris Peace Accords in 1991, the Kingdom has experienced drastic change – economically, culturally, geopolitically. As we look ahead to the next few decades, what path will Cambodia take?
-
How are the diverse sectors of Cambodian society and the Cambodian economy likely to develop?
-
How will Cambodia respond to various global trends, as a relatively small country in a region of growing global geopolitical and economic importance?
-
Will Cambodia’s economy prosper or stagnate? Will Cambodia become a middle income state, remain at its current lower middle income level, or drop back to the status of a low income state?
The Cambodia 2040 books are the first to bring together a collection of experts, utilizing a single methodology, to set out the various potential scenarios that Cambodia is likely to confront two decades from now. Employing a shared, foresighting model, each author examines their particular area of expertise in order to illustrate the potential paths that Cambodia could follow.
